Flower arrangements created at a Portsmouth Garden Club class
With funding from a grant to the Portsmouth Library from the Rhode Island Foundation, a group of 13 attendees created a Hogarth (or Lazy S) Curve design under the direction of members of the Portsmouth Garden Club. Instructor Lina Kirkpatrick and assistants Suzan Ballard, Mary DiBara, Janet Shrake, Roberta Stevens and Karen Saucier helped with the wiring and placement of the fresh Ruscus (butcher's broom) and red roses just in time for Valentine’s Day.
