Portsmouth Library and Portsmouth Garden Club partner with donation
The Portsmouth Free Public Library is excited to announce the launch of our Children's Library Garden Bag program, made possible with generous support from the Portsmouth Garden Club. This program encourages children to explore the joys of gardening and learn about nature.
The Garden Bags are designed for young gardeners in Pre-K to 5th grade and include everything needed to start a small garden at home. Each bag contains gardening tools, a seed packet, Popsicle sticks for marking plants, and a charming garden gnome to decorate your garden. The bags join the other “Library of Things” available to library patrons, such as the telescope and fishing rods.
The school vacation summer reading program, READ, REVIEW, REPEAT, for children begins Monday, June 17. Please see the library web page or contact the library children’s room for more information.
