September 10, 2024-- This was our "Welcome Back" to a new club year meeting, with a talk and tour of greenhouse at Newport Vineyards. The host and speaker was Andy Teixeira, Executive Chef of all the Vineyard culinary endeavors. Newport Vineyards also includes Brix restaurant and Taproot Brewing Co. Chef Teixeira was just nominated as a semi-finalist for the James Beard award as best chef in the Northeast. His passion is "Farm to Table" growing and cooking. His talk included an introduction of Caleb Veltry, produce manage, who showed us the unique crops.
